Bonding Agents

Bonding Agents C.L. Smith Industrial Company provides several bonding agents for ceramic installations. Our proprietary formulas were developed specifically for the adhesion of ceramic tiles supplied in various sizes and shapes.

We offer a superior trowel grade epoxy labeled CLS-773, which is an anti-solvent, moisture insensitive, 100% solids epoxy resin. Our estimated coverage is approximately 20 sq. ft. of ceramic tile per kit with a mix ration of 1:1.

Our RTV 100% silicone adhesive, CLS-111 (white) and CLS-444 (high temperature red) is a gel-like, one component material that cures to a tough, rubbery solid excellent for for installing ceramic tiles, bonding gaskets, filling joints in ductwork and equipment housings or anywhere a tight, leakproof seal is required. Conveniently packaged in 10.3 ounce caulking tube.

Ceramic Trowelables

Ceramic Trowelables Abrasion and corrosion epoxy coatings consisting of alumina ceramic beads suspended in an epoxy resin. They provide excellent protection for use in chute, elbows, cones, and material and and process handling equipment.

Our proprietary formulas are ideal on wet or dry and vertical or overhead surfaces. Trowelable kits offer exceptional abrasion resistance, 1:1 mix ratio, non-sagging, covering approximately 14 sq. ft. when a quarter inch depth is applied.
